VakilDost is an India-focused legal-information and AI drafting platform operated by Advocate Rajat Kaushik. Public resources and automated outputs are intended to help users understand legal concepts and possible next steps in simpler language.

Unless a separate service is expressly described as advocate-reviewed, the content is general educational information and must not be treated as a final legal opinion, litigation strategy or substitute for professional advice based on complete facts.

2. Understand the service label

The fact that VakilDost is operated by an advocate does not convert every automated output into advocate-reviewed work. Always rely on the label shown for the specific feature you are using.

3. No automatic advocate-client relationship

Visiting the website, using an AI tool, signing in, purchasing a Draft Pass, receiving an automated answer or generating a draft does not by itself create an advocate-client relationship.

An advocate-client relationship arises only after a separate and express engagement is accepted by the advocate, with a defined scope of work. Until then, do not assume that your matter is being monitored, represented or professionally reviewed.

4. AI systems can make mistakes

AI-generated content may be incomplete, inaccurate, inconsistent, outdated or unsuitable for your particular facts. An AI system may:

• misunderstand a fact or legal question;
• omit an exception, defence or procedural requirement;
• state an incorrect legal provision, case reference or limitation period;
• fail to account for local rules or recent legal developments;
• produce wording that appears confident but is legally unreliable; or
• repeat assumptions that were not actually provided by the user.

VakilDost does not guarantee that any AI output is complete, current, accurate or appropriate for filing, sending or relying upon.

5. AI-generated drafts are first drafts

An AI-generated notice, reply, application, complaint or other document is only a starting draft. It may contain placeholders, missing annexures, incomplete prayers, formatting issues, unsuitable language or incorrect assumptions.

Unless expressly marked “Advocate-Reviewed”, the draft has not been independently checked by an advocate. Purchase of a Draft Pass does not include court filing, representation, unlimited revisions or advocate review unless specifically stated.

6. You must verify before use

Before relying on or sending any output, verify at minimum:

• names, addresses, dates, amounts and factual statements;
• legal provisions, rules, case citations and limitation periods;
• jurisdiction, authority, court fee, format and filing procedure;
• all blanks, placeholders, annexures and document references;
• whether notice, service, stamping, registration or notarisation is required; and
• whether review by a qualified advocate is necessary.

You remain responsible for the final document and for deciding whether it should be used, sent, signed, filed or acted upon.

7. Urgent matters and deadlines

Do not delay professional help or a required legal step while waiting for an AI answer. Court dates, appeal periods, limitation periods, cheque-bounce timelines, tax deadlines, police notices, eviction matters and other legal obligations may be time-sensitive.

In an emergency, immediate safety risk, arrest situation, threat of violence or other urgent matter, contact the appropriate emergency authority and a qualified local advocate without relying solely on VakilDost.

8. No guarantee of legal outcome

Legal outcomes depend on evidence, facts, conduct of parties, procedural compliance, opposing arguments, judicial discretion and changes in law. VakilDost does not guarantee success, settlement, recovery, acceptance of a filing or any particular result.

Examples, explanations and suggested steps are illustrative and should not be interpreted as predictions.

9. Law varies by place and time

Indian law may differ across states, courts, tribunals and authorities. Rules, notifications, filing procedures, judicial interpretations and government portals may change after content is published or generated.

A resource labelled with a year or state should not be assumed to cover every later amendment or local practice. Check the latest official source and obtain local professional advice where appropriate.

10. Third-party technology services

VakilDost uses third-party technology providers for parts of the service, including Google sign-in, Supabase authentication and database functions, OpenAI processing, Render backend hosting, Razorpay payments, Hostinger hosting and WordPress.

These providers operate under their own terms, policies and technical systems. VakilDost cannot guarantee their uninterrupted availability, processing speed or continued compatibility.

11. External links and official portals

Links to courts, police portals, government websites, payment providers or other external resources are provided for convenience. VakilDost does not control or endorse every external page and is not responsible for its accuracy, availability, security, fees or privacy practices.

Always confirm that you are using the correct official domain before entering personal or payment information.

12. Privacy, confidentiality and sensitive information

Do not submit passwords, OTPs, UPI PINs, complete card information, full Aadhaar numbers, banking credentials or unnecessary sensitive information.

Information entered into automated features may be processed by technology providers to generate the requested output. Using an AI feature does not automatically make the submitted content protected by advocate-client privilege. Review the Privacy Policy for more information.

13. Availability and technical errors

VakilDost is provided on an “as available” basis. Temporary outages, maintenance, network failures, browser issues, provider errors or security restrictions may prevent sign-in, payment verification, generation or access to saved content.

Users should keep their own secure copy of important drafts and should not rely on the website as the sole storage location for a legal document.

14. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, VakilDost is not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential loss caused by reliance on AI content, missed deadlines, inaccurate user input, use without professional review, third-party outages, unauthorised account access or rejection of a draft by a court, authority or recipient.

Nothing in this Disclaimer excludes a right or liability that cannot lawfully be excluded under applicable Indian law. Where liability for a paid feature cannot legally be excluded, any monetary liability will ordinarily be limited to the amount paid for the specific affected transaction, subject to non-waivable rights.

15. Professional services must be separately confirmed

Any advocate-reviewed service, consultation, representation or confidential professional engagement must be separately and expressly confirmed. Scope, documents, fee, delivery time and professional responsibility will be governed by the specific engagement accepted for that matter.

Do not assume that an advocate is monitoring your case merely because you sent an email, submitted a form or completed an automated payment.

16. Changes to this Disclaimer

VakilDost may update this Disclaimer when services, providers, risks or legal requirements change. The current version will be posted on this page with a revised “Last updated” date.
